Day 1:

Reception at the airport and transfer to Wasai Lodge & Expeditions were you will be welcomed with a delicious tropical juice. In this lodge you can left your luggage and bring just your necessary belongings to spend one day. Transfer by car to the Ese’Eja Native Village, from here we will embark for 40 minutes upstream the Tambopata River  until the start point of the trail to Tres Chimbadas Lake. Guided trek of 2.5 km. watching and learning  about the amazon ecosystem, after arrival to the refuge, we will have a short rest and then we will start a canoeing excursion observing the wildlife, we will also learn how to fish  piranhas.  The Tres Chimbadas Lake offers the best chances to observe Giant River otters and exotics birds as the Camungo, which has the  strongest sing in the world. Around  4:30 pm, we will return by river to the Indian village to take our car to Wasai Maldonado Lodge. Typical meal for dinner, overnight  in Maldonado Lodge. (L,D)

Day 2 :

Breakfast at dawn to use the first ours of the day which are the best to observe the activities of the animals. We will embark  in motorboat for a 40 minutes to the start point of the trail to Sandoval Lake. Guided trekking for 3 km. enjoying the sounds and bird activities of the morning. In the Lake we will embark in a typical canoe to explore the lake. At midday we will have lunch and have a rest. In the afternoon we will embark again in our canoe to paddle to observe when parrots and macaws come back to their nests in the top of the palm trees, at the banks of the lake in the afternoon. The activity in the lake start again, if we are lucky we will appreciate diverse fauna, such as monkeys or again the giant river otters which live in this lake.  Starting the night we will come back to the Madre de Dios River to take our motor boat and return to Puerto Maldonado. Farewell dinner, Overnight in the Lodge (B,L,D)
