DAY 1: CUSCO

Upon arrival at Cusco airport you will be met and driven to Hotel, where you are advised to rest for a while to acclimatize to the altitude. In the afternoon Cusco City Tour

From 1:15-1:30pm to 6.30pm.

This tour includes the Qoricancha (temple of the sun) and the Cathedral.

The tour drives along Circunvalacion Road up to famous fortress of Sacsayhuaman, then to Q’enqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay The tour is provided by Spanish and English speaking guide. Also included in this is a tourist card, giving you access to all the sites in the Cusco area as a whole (i.e., including outside of the City itself). Hotel Overnight.(no meals)

DAY 2: MACHU PICCHU

All day excursion by train to Machu Picchu. You will leave the hotel to the train station. Travel is in “Vistadome” Class (formerly “Autowagon”). you will arrive at the Aguas Calientes Station, from where you take a 25 minute bus ride to the ruins of Machu Picchu. Once there, you will have a guided tour, with an English speaking professional guide. The ruins are on the eastern slope of Machu Picchu in two separate areas: the agricultural and the urban. Lunch at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge (included). Return to Cusco on the afternoon train and transfer to Hotel. Hotel Overnight (B, Box lunch)

DAY 3: SACRED VALLEY TOUR (SHARED SERVICE: TUESDAY, THURSDAY AND SUNDAY)

Breakfast. You will be picked up at 8:15 am. Full day excursion to the Urubamba Valley, visiting: the colorful Indian market in Pisac where a mixture of color and tradition can be fully appreciated. The Valley has a distance of 31 km (19 miles) of Cusco, and an altitude of 2,970 ms (9,700 p). Pisac is located at the entrance of the Sacred Valley, followed by Ollantaytambo, the oldest town continuously occupied of the American continent. The narrow streets of Ollantaytambo, along with their channels have not changed since Inca times. They evoke their ancestral inheritance. We’ll have lunch in a typical restaurant in the afternoon. After that we’ll go to the Chinchero market. At the end, return to Cusco at 6:30pm approx.

The night is free for you to eat in a restaurant of your choice; however, we always have plenty of suggestions for you, should you require them. Hotel Overnight (B, L)

DAY 4: TRANSFER OUT

Transfer from your hotel to the airport for the return flight (airfare not included). (B)
