Nightlife in Lima

People comes out to enjoy Lima nightlife, you can walk around a beautiful illuminated Lima center, have a good time in its bars which are very well known. Lima city tour

Magic Water Circuit

The Reserve Park was inaugurated on February 19, 1929 in honor of reservists who during the Pacific War defended the city of Lima and participated in the battles of San Juan and Miraflores. Here is located the magic circuit water.

Visit to the Magic Water Circuit, the largest fountain complex in the world, certified by Guinness World Records. Here you can enjoy a wonderful show showing a perfect combination and harmony of water, light, music and pictures. This circuit includes 13 water fountains, each with a distinct charm. This is an unforgettable experience.

Presbyter Maestro Museum

The visit to the monumental Cemetery Museum “Presbyter Matias Maestro” located is located in Barrios Altos district. It was inaugurated May 31st, 1808 by the Viceroy Jose Fernando de Abascal, it was the first cemetery in the city since before the burials were made in any of the various churches. It was named in honor its designer, the priest Matías Maestro. Its 766 mausoleums are from the finest architecture of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The cemetery contains tombs of several historical figures in Peru besides the mausoleum built in honor of the heroes of the Pacific War.

The Presbítero Maestro contains streets, gardens, quarters and boulevards decorated with beautiful statues. Especially overwhelming are its magnificent mausoleums that represent the wealth of many families of Lima. The most important among these monuments is the Cripta de los Héroes that shelters the rests of some insign characters like Miguel Grau, Francisco Bolognesi and Andrés A. Cáceres, heroes from the War of the Pacific. this cemetery museum was designed and built by Matias Maestro, a basque presbyter who was also an architect, sculptor and painter. Considered as the first civil cemetery in America, because of its more than 200 years, its holds about 850 mausoleums, sculptures, monuments and tombs that are accurate representations of various artistic, cultural and religious trends that were found in America during the XIX an XX centuries.
