Itinerary
DAY1
Arrival at Cusco and Travel Briefing.
- Fly from Lima to Cusco. Upon arrival at the Cusco airport, you’ll be met by an Inca Expert Travel representative who will go through your travel program and give you all your needed tickets.
- Use your first day to rejuvenate yourself by resting at your luxury hotel or enjoying hotel spa services, or by walking around nearby districts. Be sure to ask your hotel concierge for recommendations or your travel representative for a city guide.
DAY2
Private Cusco City Tour.
Begin your day with a private guided tour of Cusco’s most important sites. Start with a visit to the Cusco Cathedral and Qoricancha. Then travel into the Cusco countryside to see the impressive ruins of Sacsayhuaman.
Spend the afternoon at your leisure. Shop with locals at San Pedro Market or wander the streets of bohemian San Blas.
DAY3
Vistadome Train to the Inca Trail.
- After a hearty breakfast, board the Vistadome train in Ollantaytambo. Watch the landscape turn into lush cloud forests before starting the Inca Trail. Disembark at the trailhead at KM 104, where your hiking journey begins. Enjoy an Included lunch and pass archeological sites, and admire the stunning Andean landscapes to the majestic Sun Gate, which leads into Machu Picchu.
DAY4
Private Machu Picchu Tour.
In the morning you’ll be taken from your hotel to the Ollantaytambo train station, where you will catch a train to Aguas Calientes.
Your private tour guide will take you through the iconic ruins of Machu Picchu, discussing the mystery and skill of its construction as you absorb the magical landscape that surrounds this important ruin.
Return to Aguas Calientes, where you will stay the night at your confirmed hotel. Rest well knowing you conquered one of the seven wonders of the world!
DAY5
Private Tour to the Rainbow Mountain.
- Enjoy a final early start to your day and head to Vinicunca, also known as the Rainbow Mountian. On this private tour, you’ll appreciate the Andes Mountains as you pass by beautiful snow-capped mountains and unique landscapes.
- Watch Alpacas and Llamas frolic along the trail as you walk to the sacred mountain. Learn about the reasons why the Incas and Andean people worship the Pachamama or Mother Earth on this incredible tour of Rainbow Mountain that includes lunch.
DAY6
Return to Lima or continue your journey.
Enjoy a final breakfast at your Cusco hotel. Our Inca Expert representative will meet you in time to transfer you to the airport to begin your journey back home. You can also customize this itinerary to continue your exploration of Peru’s world wonders.
