HEALTH AND VACCINATION INFORMATION FOR PERU
YELLOW FEVER VACCINATION
International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever is required upon
arrival if traveling from an INFECTED AREA and the traveler is more than 6
months of age.
Peru recommends for those who intend to visit and rural areas of the country.
CDC recommends for all travelers (from any country) more than 9 months of age
who go outside urban areas
Malaria exists in rural areas of the country. Traveelrs who will visit only
Lima and vicinity; coastal areas south of Lima; or the highland tourist areas (Cuzco,
Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca) are not at risk
Cholera is reported in areas of the country
