Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge, at 8,200 feet above sea level, is the only hotel located within the very sanctuary of the Machu Picchu Inca citadel.
The Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge is located right on the top of the mountain, a couple of seconds from the actual ruins themselves and thus enjoys a prime position within the sanctuary. A three and a half hour train journey from Cusco will take you to the colourful town of Aguas Calientes. There you will board a bus for the 30 minute drive up the mountain to the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge and the ruins.
While visiting, you will enjoy unforgettable sunrises, enchanting nights and the remains of the ancient culture of this unique place, considered part of Peru's and the world's cultural heritage.

Reflecting the casual, intimate atmosphere of a home away from home, the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge has 29 well appointed rooms and 2 suites, with some of the best views of the world: the ruins of Machu Picchu and the Sacred Mountain. The interior garden, apart from the beautiful panoramic view, has a variety of local flowers and orchids.

To avoid this tax, foreign nationals and Peruvians who live abroad must present during hotel check-in their Customs stamped Andean Immigration Card - TAM, their Customs stamped original passport and the visa that certifies they live abroad (this last requirement is only for Peruvians that live outside Peru). Additionally, in case the room is shared by both a taxable and a non-taxable guest at the same time, the Sales Tax will be applied.
