DAY 1 – ARRIVAL TO LIMA

Pick up upon arrival at Lima’s airport and transfer to the hotel.

DAY 2 – ARRIVAL TO CUSO & CUSCO CITY TOUR

Transfer to the Lima airport for the flight to Cusco (airfare not included).
Upon arrival to Cusco, our representative will greet you at the airport and accompany you for the transfer to your hotel. Have to time at your leisure and eat a light meal at a nearby restaurant. Then, in the afternoon, depart on a guided city tour, to nearby attractions such as the main plaza, Cathedral, Koricancha (Temple of the Sun), as well as surrounding archaeological sites, including the Sacsayhuaman Fortress. Entrance to the archaeological centers and museums are included. (B)

DAY 3 – SACRED VALLEY TOUR

Set out on a full day guided excursion to discover the highlights of the Sacred Valley. First, visit Pisac, a town with a lively local market and standout hilltop ruins. En route to your next tour destination, stop for lunch (price not included) in Urubamba and then continue onto the attractive little town of Ollantaytambo that’s steeped with Inca heritage.The narrow streets of Ollantaytambo, along with their channels that have not varied from the Inca time, evoke their ancestral inheritance, which your stroll down to the impressive resident archaeological site for a visit.
Return to your hotel in the evening and enjoy free time. (B)

DAY 4 – MACHU PICCHU TOUR

After an early breakfast, go to the train station and depart to Machu Picchu, a comfortable trip that takes about 2 hours. Witness amazing landscapes in the Sacred Valley along the train ride that transition to lush green foliage as you approach the subtropical region surrounding Machu Picchu. Upon arrival to the train station in Aguas Calientes, the gateway town to the famous ruins, our representative will meet you and accompany you for the short walk to the bus stop. It’s a 20-minute bus transfer up the mountain to Machu Picchu. Then, take a guided tour to important attractions within the Historical Sanctuary, a memorable experience that may very well be the highlight of your trip. Spend time relaxing at your hotel in Aguas Calientes. (B)

DAY 5 – FREE TIME & RETURN TO CUSCO

Enjoy the breakfast served at your hotel and have free time to explore Aguas Calientes. Your travel advisor is happy to offer you recommendations based on your personal interests. Return to Cusco by train in the afternoon. Our representative will greet you at the train station and transfer to your hotel in Cusco for the night. (B)

DAY 6 – ARRIVAL TO QUITO

Eat breakfast at your hotel in Cusco. A transfer will then pick you up to go to the airport for your return flight to Lima, Peru. Then, depending on your ongoing flight details to Ecuador (flight not included in package), you’ll depart to Quito. Our representative will greet you at the airport in Quito for the transfer to your hotel for the night. (B)

DAY 7 – ARRIVAL TO GALAPAGOS

Begin your exciting Galapagos adventure with a transfer to the airport for your flight to the Galapagos Islands. A cruise representative will meet you on arrival and take you to your boat, the Galapagos Legend.
In the afternoon, take an excursion to Morquera, an islet tucked between the North and South Seymour Islands. It is home to a group of sea lions that come to laze on the soft white sand. It is a good spot to observe shorebirds as well as herons, lava gulls and boobies. Snorkeling or diving here, you can often see sharks, rays and barracudas. Overnight on Legend cruise vessel. (L, D)

DAY 8 – GALAPAGOS CRUISE

In the morning, visit Egas Port, a black volcanic sand beach, visited by Darwin in 1835. The beginning section of the trail is formed of volcanic ash and turns into an uneven terrain of volcanic basaltic rock. The striking shoreline of Santiago is home to a variety of animals including the bizarre yellow-crowned night heron and marine wildlife including lobster, starfish and marine iguanas grazing on algae beds alongside Sally Lightfoot crabs.
In the afternoon, go to Rabida, an island considered the epicenter of the Galapagos Islands due to the diversity of its volcanic geology. The unique red sand beaches are home to colonies of sea lions. Take a dinghy ride and witness the island’s thriving marine ecosystem while you snorkel. (B, L, D)

DAY 9 – GALAPAGOS CRUISE

In the morning, arrive to a volcanic black beach. At certain times of the year it’s possible to find giant tortoises, land iguanas, and the unusual flightless cormorant. Take a short walk with your naturalist guide to Urbina Bay to swim and snorkel with sea turtles, sea lions, and countless tropical fish. The uplifted coral reef that resulted from seismic activity is a main highlight of the island.
In the afternoon, visit the largest island in the Galapagos. Go on a guided walk along a trail on Isabela Island to Darwin’s salt-water crater lake and see views of lava fields and volcanic formations. Then explore the island’s shoreline aboard a dinghy ride to admire a variety of seabirds and snorkel in the deep water. Depending on the season, you may see a large number of Galapagos Penguins; the only penguin species in the world to live in the tropics. (B, L, D)

DAY 10 – GALAPAGOS CRUISE

In the morning, visit Espinosa Point on Fernandina Island. Take a walk to see large marine iguanas mingling with sea lions and Sally Lightfoot crabs. Spot the nesting sites of flightless cormorants, Galapagos penguins and Galapagos hawk. Take time to snorkel in the calm waters.
In the afternoon, take an excursion to Vicente Roca Point, Isabela Island. Enjoy great deep water snorkeling at one of the richest marine havens on Earth. You also have an opportunity to find Nazca and Blue-footed Boobies, brown pelicans, penguins, sea turtles, flightless cormorant, and white-tipped sharks. (B, L, D)

DAY 11 – DEPARTURE FROM GALAPAGOS

In the morning, set out on your final excursion to the Highlands Tortoise Reserve on Santa Cruz Island. With your naturalist guide, observ famous giant tortoises in their natural habitat at the national reserve. The road from the coast through the agricultural zone and straight up to the dense humid forests of the highlands is where various types of birds live, such as the ground finch, vermillion flycatchers, yellow warblers, and paint-billed crakes.
Later, transfer to the airport for your return to Quito, mainland Ecuador. Spend the rest of your evening at your leisure in Quito. (B)

DAY 12 – QUITO CITY TOUR

After breakfast at your hotel, set out on a guided tour to explore the bustling streets and squares of Quito, the largest historical old town in the Americas. Visit some of its most important churches, such as the majestic La Compañía and iconic San Francisco, repositories of a stunning multi-ethnic artistic and cultural heritage. Next, drive to the Mitad del Mundo (Middle of the World), where a monument marks 0º0’0” latitude.
Free time in the evening and overnight in Quito. (B)

DAY 13 – DEPARTURE FROM QUITO

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your connection flight to return home. (B)
