The Galapagos Islands are one of the most complex, diverse and unique oceanic archipelagos in the world, which still maintains its ecosystems and biodiversity without major alterations. The Galapagos Islands are located on the equator of the Pacific Ocean, 1000 km west from Ecuador and consists of 13 major islands, 6 minor and more than 107 islets and rocks. The islands maintain several characteristics habitats that are refuges for food and reproduction of different terrestrial and marine animals.

There are 7214 identified species in the Galapagos, it is estimated that up to 86% of the biodiversity would be described and inventoried. The 30.8% of Galapagos species are endemic (native) to the islands. Vertebrate animals comprising 696 species, 10% of island biodiversity. Terrestrial invertebrates and freshwater account for 32% of terrestrial biodiversity. At present, marine invertebrates represent 31% of marine biodiversity (note: these data are estimates for 2001 and are in constant change).
Machu Picchu was nominated one of the new Seven Wonders of the World and Declared Human Heritage by the UNESCO. The citadel of Machu Picchu is situated at 2.360 m the nature and the wonderful views make amazing scenery. This is one of the reason people come to visit Machu Picchu.
