Day 1 (WEDNESDAY)
Meeting and assistance upon arrival in Quito and transfer to the Hotel for overnight.
Day 2 (THURSDAY)
Departure from Quito or Guayaquil to Baltra (a flight of about two and a
half hours). Passengers will be picked up at the airport by our guides and
taken to the pier to the M/V Galapagos Legend.
Bartolomé
Dry landing. Passengers will see volcanic formations like lava bombs,
spatter, and cinder cones. After a hike to the summit you’ll be impressed by
the view of the surrounding islands, including the eroded tuff cone of
Pinnacle Rock.
During the
hike to the summit, travelers will often see colonies of marine iguanas,
lava lizards, tiquilla, and various cacti.
Visitors
will be able to snorkel and see the Galapagos penguin, sea turtles, and
white-tipped sharks from a safe distance.
Day 3 (FRIDAY)
- Urbina Bay (Isabela)
Wet landing. Passengers will visit the fossil beach and coral area.
Depending on the season, you may observe giant tortoises, land iguanas and
flightless cormorants. After the walk, there will be time for snorkeling.
Fernandina
(Espinosa Point)
Dry landing. Visitors will see the biggest marine iguanas mingling with
Sally Light-foot crabs, as well as flightless cormorants nesting sites,
Galapagos penguins, Galapagos hawks, and sea lions.
Among the
flora and volcanic formations observers will see brachycereus cactus, and
“pa-hoe-hoe” lava and “AA” lava formations. Numerous mangrove beds extend
into the sea.
Day 4 (SATURDAY)
- Santiago (Egas Port)
Wet landing on a dark sand beach. Most of the landscape is tuff-stone
layers and lava flows. You can observe hunting herons, great blue herons,
lava herons, yellow-crowned night herons and oyster catchers.
Passengers
will see marine iguanas grazing upon algae beds alongside red Sally
Light-foot crabs. There is a colony of fur seals swimming in deep pools of
cool water.
Here you can swim and snorkel and find octopuses, sea horses, star fish.
Rábida
(Jervis)
Wet landing. The volcano-formed beach is dark red and occupied by sea lions.
It’s considered the geographic center of Galapagos because it has the most
diverse volcanic rocks on the Islands.
You’ll hike to a salt-water pond, where flamingos can sometimes be found.
July through September is a good time to observe brown pelicans nesting in
the salty bushes. Boobies and nine species of Darwin’s finches can also be
observed.
You can take a dinghy ride by the reefs, as well as snorkel.
Day 5:
(SUNDAY) - Santa Cruz (Charles Darwin Research Station)
Travelers will visit the Charles Darwin Research Station, staffed with
international scientists conducting biological research and conservation
projects. Here you can admire the giant tortoises that are part of the
breeding program.
Visitors
can also admire the prickly-pear cactus forest and many land birds. Later
on, you’ll have some free time to walk around town and shop for souvenirs.
Santa Cruz (Highlands)
Travelers will trek through the highlands of Santa Cruz and visit Cerro
Chato, where they’ll be able to observe the famous giant tortoises.
Additionally, travelers can walk inside the dormant lava tubes.
Day 6:
(MONDAY) - Santa Cruz (Bachas Beach)
Wet landing. This beach is located on the northern side of Santa Cruz
Island.
Here you will encounter many sea birds, marine iguanas, sea turtles, and
have the opportunity to swim on the white-sand beach.
Return to the Galapagos Legend, check out and transfer to the Baltra
airport. Return flight to Quito via Guayaquil.
( AIRFARE INCLUDED ) Meeting and assistance
upon arrival in Quito and transfer to the Four points Sheraton Hotel or
similar for overnight.
Day 7 (TUESDAY)
Colonial City Tour of Quito: (4 Hours approx.)
Visit starts in Orellana´s way, drive around the colonial center of Quito
and see the stone-carved façade of Ecuador’s House of Congress depicting
scenes from Ecuadorian history; Independence Square, with the Presidential
Palace, the Cathedral and El Sagrario. Visit the Church of La Compañía
(1605), (if open), with its breathtaking gilded altars, considered the
finest example of baroque art in America and the church and monastery of San
Francisco (1535). Visit the art & crafts gallery of Tianguez. Finally, drive
up to el Panecillo Hill to have a spectacular view of Quito and to see the
only winged Virgin in South America. Overnight at the Hotel or similar.
Day 8 (WEDNESDAY)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight home , or
connection flight to Lima to take an exiting extension to Peru ,Cusco and
Machu Picchu

Our tour to
the islands on Lake Titicaca was a
wonderful day. We had great weather and the people that we met
were very friendly. The island of Taguile was a beautiful little
paradise. The hotel in Puno was very good, with a great
breakfast. It is too bad we could only stay one night. We kept
the room for the second night so that we could freshen up before
going on the bus to Cusco Peru.

We had a very nice trip to Peru.
Thanks for you help. Our hotels in Peru
were what we expected, very nice and the hotel help went out of
their way to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed.
Our guides were outstanding. Always on time and catered to our
needs. Our groups were small except for the Sacred Valley tour where
we had 25 members. Food was plentiful and tasty at each restaurant.
The Hotel Casa Andina in Cusco gave us an upgrade when we returned
from MP which was very nice. Also, the Radisson gave us an upgrade
when we returned to Lima although we stayed only 6 hours.
Again, thanks for your services. I feel very fortunate that I
selected your travel services, because of the services. Several on
the trip thought I was mighty brave to select an unknown agency. I
was impressed with Ivan during our first emails and phone
conversations. I trusted him and he trusted me, this makes for happy

I just returned back to the US from my trip to Peru. I wanted to let
you know how grateful I am for the wonderful experience that you
help me coordinate and plan. I loved all of the sites and felt I had
a unique experience that I will never forget.
The tour planners and the tour
guides were all wonderful and extremely helpful. Each of them were
very polite and knowledgable about their subjects and locations. I
learned alot about Peru and its customs.
The hotel on Machu Picchu (Sanctuary Lodge) and the hotel in Puno
(The Libertador) were excellent and I would recommend anyone to stay
in each of those locations. The San Augustin El Dorado was just
adequate; I found the hotel to be clean and the staff helpful, but
there is too much noise during the evening and mornings; this is
because many of the rooms overlook the central lobby of the hotel
and the acoustics create echos of sound from the front desk and
those people having conversations in the lobby area. Also, the space
heaters in each of the El Dorado rooms I stayed in did not work at
all. I do not think I would recommend the hotel to people unless
they didn't mind a noisy atmosphere.
The Posada del Inca hotel in Bolivia was very nice; I really liked
the rustic feel and intimate setting and the private gardens--the
views of Lake Titicaca and the mountains were spectacular. Although
I didn't realize it would be a hike (literally) up to it. One of the
couples I was travelling with on the first day in Bolivia had
trouble making it up the hillside (they didn't know they would have
to hike to the top to get to the hotel). I would recommend letting
potential guests know that it is a 40 - 45 minute hike from the dock
to the hotel itself. The guides were very helpful and it was good
that our luggage was carried up separately.
The trip was amazing and I just wanted to thank you for all of your
planning. I would recommend you and your staff to everyone I know
who wanted to plan a trip to go to Peru.
