320-meter suspended footbridge in the heart of the National Park
followed by a 9 km one-way trail that can be covered on foot or by
bicycle (conventional or electric).
On this stretch, perfectly beautiful specimens of flora and fauna
native to the Iguassu National Park can be seen.
At the end of the trail there will be a short break to rest.
At this point, a suspension bridge leads to a rustic 500-meter trail,
at the end of which exists a 10-meter high observation tower. From
the tower a panoramic view of the forest can be had, especially of
Lagoa do Jacare (Alligator Pond), in which a great diversity of
aquatic animals are concentrated.
The 2º stage: Begins with a ride in a bi-motor boat for the,
especially developed for the specific characteristics of the upper
Iguassu River, which passes by islands such as Ilha do Papagaios (Parrot
Island) and Ilha das Garcas (Heron Island), where the quantity of
birds that can be seen is amazing! Along the banks of the River,
aquatic habitat animals such as alligators can be sighted
The 3º stage: One can choose between following the River in ducks
(similar to kayaks, but inflatable) for 600 meters, and rowing among
the small islands of the River accompanied by highly-trained
instructors with safety equipment, or staying in our boat and
getting to know the River a little better. Each duck carries two
people.
Disembarkation can be made at Porto Bananeira (Banana Tree Port),
traveling 2 km in an open jeep to Macuco Safari Station, or at Porto
Canoas (Canoe Port), approximately 100 meters from the largest
waterfall of the Iguassu Falls, Garganta do Diabo (Devils Throat).
Duration is approximately four hours, with hourly departures
starting at 8:00 a.m. Advance reservations are necessary.
During the excursion, snacks and drinks will be served to the
tourists. During the entire trip, a bilingual guide will be
available equipped with first-aid equipment, in case there is the
necessity for it at some moment.
The 4º stage: After disembarkation visit Brazilian side of the
magnificent Iguassu Falls. Following the walkways that border the
canyon of the Iguassu River, it is possible to observe hundreds of
small waterfalls until where the last fall Floriano Falls is reached.
There you will have a complete frontal view of Devils Throat.

Hello all the folks at Peru Gateway Travel,
We had a fantastic time in Peru. We thank you all for making
our trip a success.
The only concern is that the accommodation in Cusco was below
average and we would not recommend the Emparada Plaza (?) to
anyone. Even though the staff was good, the room/bathroom,
breakfast was very bad.
Once again, thanks a lot for making our trip to your country a
memorable one. All the guides, especially Guillarmo in Lima
and Erica in Cusco, were excellent.

We arrived home at 4 o'clock in the
morning, very tired (we had a long lay-over in Amsterdam) but very
very happy. I am so pleased to tell you that our Peru vacation that
you planned for us was excellent! Everything was just as the
itinerary said it would be. We were very pleased with the hotels,
and the transfer people and guides were always there and everybody
was so nice and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about your very
exciting country and its history, particularly about the Quechua
culture. We will always remember the Inti Raymi festival in Cusco. I
am so glad we were able to see that. Of course Machu Picchu was also
a great highlight. And, Michael and I also very much liked Arequipa.
We didn't know much about that city, but we had a very great time
there on our free day and visited the cathedral, spent a lot of time
going through the Santa Catalina monastario and, of course, went to
the museum to see "Juanita". Beautiful architecture there too.
Really, every day was wonderful, and we would like to thank you so
much for all your efforts. Also please extend our thanks to Maria
Carmen who was so helpful on the phone and to Julia, who came to the
hotel our first night to explain many things to us and give us all
our tickets and vouchers. And perhaps you also had something to do
with our last night in Lima at the Libertador. We got a suite -- a
very big beautiful room! Thank you so much.
We wish you and your family all the best, and for sure we will be
recommending Peru Gateway Travel to our friends.
