Emergency Cash If you're in a large city in Peru, probably the quickest
method of getting emergency cash is to use your credit card to withdraw money
from the ATMs of major banks, or get a cash advance on your credit card.
Otherwise, you can get a direct transfer from an account back home to an
affiliated branch of the better Peruvian banks, like Banco del Credito (check
with your bank in advance for details). The money is best transferred and picked
up in dollars; if you ask for a swiftcode transfer it usually takes five working
days. In Lima, Western Union can facilitate more or less immediate money
transfers. |
