DAY 1: Quito Upon arrival to Quito: reception, assistance and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at selected hotel in Quito DAY 2: Quito Half day tour Modern and Colonial Quito combined with the Equator Complex. A few kilometres North of town is located the famous Equatorial Monument, marked by geographers as latitude 000’00”. A visit to the museum could be included, this museum featuring Ecuador’s ethnic groups from Galapagos to the Amazon. Overnight at selected hotel in Quito Meals included: breakfast DAY 3: Quito - El Angel Drive north to El Angel Ecological Reserve, which will take around 4 hours. Upon arrival lunch and then in the afternoon enjoy of the excursions in the area. Overnight at tourist class lodge. Meals included: breakfast and lunch DAY 4: El angel – Otavalo – Quito Morning depart from El Angel to start driving back to Quito on the way visit the Otavalo Indian market with the opportunity of shopping in the market, which offers : tapestries, ponchos, Indian jewelry and other handicrafts. Overnight at selected hotel in Quito Meals included: breakfast and lunch DAY 5: Quito – Baños – Patate The drive itself shows a variety of terrain with temperate valleys and both of the towering Andean ranges forming what von Humboldt called “The Avenue of the Volcanoes” and from Ambato East down into the valley of Patate with its productive fruit and vegetable land. Banos is located in this great canyon and displays a good variety of attractions. From its unique and peculiar church to crafting of many items. The thermal springs from the volcano are known to have medicinal properties so are almost a must. Down bellow the Pastaza River canyon is a collection of beautiful waterfalls and great nature trails . Overnight at Hacienda Leito Meals included: breakfast and lunch DAY 6: Baños – Ingapirca In the morning we can enjoy the facilities of a typical hacienda. After lunch, while we drive south to Ingapirca, the most important Inca ruins in Ecuador, we will also enjoy panoramic views of the highlands. Overnight at Posada Ingapirca Meals included: breakfast and lunch DAY 7: Ingapirca – Cuenca The Inca fortress on Ingapirca is by far the most important archaeological site left by the Inca Empire in Ecuadorian territory. It offers a fascinating combination of the Canari and Inca architecture on a single site. Visit the site museum with numerous samples of ceramic, textiles and metal works found on diverse digs around the area of influence of these two cultures. After lunch we will drive to Cuenca. Overnight at selected hotel in Cuenca Meals included: breakfast and lunch DAY 8: Cuenca – Quito or Guayaquil Transfer to the airport for flight back to Quito or Guayaquil Upon arrival to Quito or Guayaquil: reception, assistance and transfer to the hotel. Hello all the folks at Peru Gateway Travel,
We had a fantastic time in Peru. We thank you all for making our trip a success.
The only concern is that the accommodation in Cusco was below average and we would not recommend the Emparada Plaza (?) to anyone. Even though the staff was good, the room/bathroom, breakfast was very bad.
Once again, thanks a lot for making our trip to your country a memorable one. All the guides, especially Guillarmo in Lima and Erica in Cusco, were excellent.

We arrived home at 4 o'clock in the morning, very tired (we had a long lay-over in Amsterdam) but very very happy. I am so pleased to tell you that our Peru vacation that you planned for us was excellent! Everything was just as the itinerary said it would be. We were very pleased with the hotels, and the transfer people and guides were always there and everybody was so nice and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about your very exciting country and its history, particularly about the Quechua culture. We will always remember the Inti Raymi festival in Cusco. I am so glad we were able to see that. Of course Machu Picchu was also a great highlight. And, Michael and I also very much liked Arequipa. We didn't know much about that city, but we had a very great time there on our free day and visited the cathedral, spent a lot of time going through the Santa Catalina monastario and, of course, went to the museum to see "Juanita". Beautiful architecture there too.
Really, every day was wonderful, and we would like to thank you so much for all your efforts. Also please extend our thanks to Maria Carmen who was so helpful on the phone and to Julia, who came to the hotel our first night to explain many things to us and give us all our tickets and vouchers. And perhaps you also had something to do with our last night in Lima at the Libertador. We got a suite -- a very big beautiful room! Thank you so much.
