The Covered with snow Grappa West of 5752 meters of height is
another mountain that is promoted to be able to get acclimatized.
This mountain has the panoramic only sight, since it is possible to observe
mountains of more than 6000 meters, and to few distance, between that they stand
out: the Chacraraju (6108 m), Chopiclaqui (6354 m), Huascarán (6768 m.), The
Huandoy (6393 m.) and the Artesonraju (6025 m.), between the covered with snow
Grappa East and West exist 13 routes for the different walls, the first
ascension went for the normal route to the beak West, for the edge SO the year
of 1951.
AVAILABLE ONLY FROM MAY TO SEPTEMBER
This mountain is the most climbed in the Cordillera Blanca. Mountaineers ascend
it by making the necessary acclimatization. And the view from the summit of
Pisco is the most impressive around the Cordillera Blanca, as we see a view 360

DAY 1: Departure from Huaraz with a bus (3.100 m) to Yungay (2.500 m)
from there we will go gripped the eastern part of the Cordillera Blanca, a path

two gaps (Chinancocha and Orconcocha) few minutes then we get the point where we

DAY 2: On this day we will wake up around 2 or 3 am. To overcome the

takes us to the snow-covered gorge, a privileged place for the vision of the
Cordillera Blanca. Then you need to follow some hills and through a crack
feature to reach the summit, where 360 º vision we will forget the tired, then
be down to base camp from where we left early.
DAY 3: We will of course back to base Cebollapampa camp where the bus
awaits our trip to Huaraz.
