The ecological train ride is included in the tour with an option to add the Safari Nautico boat trip taking you right up to the base of the Falls ( this exiting excursion is highly recommend in order to feel the power of the Iguazu Falls. Day 8 - Safari to the Clouds (Vuelta to the Clouds) – Salt Flats - Purmamarca
Departing in the morning we will travel along the same route as the famous Train to the
Clouds, zigzagging on lonely roads between the blue sky and the Puna. On our way, we visit magnificent ruins, scattered houses, small villages and amazing landscapes.
Our first destination is the small town of Campo Quijano and later the impressive
Quebrada del Toro, where we stop for a coffee break. Soon we leave behind the
vegetation and start to be better acquainted with the solitary Puna. In Santa Rosa de
Tastil, a pre-Inca city of the XIII century, we do archeological hiking. Later, we reach San Antonio de los Cobres, a small miners’ town rich in tradition. Farther ahead, a desert plateau will take us to the surreal landscape of the salt plains, where we stop again to walk around and enjoy the contrasts. In the afternoon, we return through the overwhelming Cuesta de Lipan and arrive at the Seven-color Hill in Purmamarca, a landmark on its own. Overnight.

Day 9 – Humahuaca Gorge
After breakfast, you will depart early in the morning for a tour along the Humahuaca Gorge, declared a Heritage of Mankind by UNESCO. First, you will visit places such as Maimará, “Paleta del Pintor”, Tilcara, Runa Arqueológica “El Pucará de Tilcara”, Huacalera, Trópico de Capricornio, Uquía (Pinturas Cuzqueñas) and finally the small town of Humahuaca, regular service. Return to Salta.Overnight.

Day 10 – Calchaquí Valley Excursion – Cafayate
The Calchaqui Valley is one of the gems of the northwest. After leaving Salta and the
Lerma Valley behind, we drive through the beautiful and green Laureles and Escoipe
gorges. The scenery slowly changes its shape and color while we climb the majestic
Cuesta del Obispo up to its highest point, at 3000 meters. Later, we go down to the
Enchanted Valley (”Los Cardones” National Park), where we visit a place surrounded by multicolored landscapes and fresh, unpolluted air. Feel the silence and get close to nature in this isolated spot! Afterwards, we visit Cachi, a typical town where the architecture beautifully combines indigenous and Spanish traditions. In the afternoon we continue our trip to the south visiting the towns of Seclantas, Molinos and Angastaco. We will continue through Las Flechas Gorge until we will arrive at the town of Cafayate, regular service. Overnight .

Day 11 – Calchaqui Valley Excursion
To get to know Salta, you should taste its wines. That’s why this tour takes you to the heart of the wine production land in Salta, zealously guarded by the stunning Quebrada de las Conchas. After leaving Salta and the Lerma Valley behind, we reach Alemania, an abandoned town that precedes the red mountains of the Conchas Gorge, where the
erosion has caved curious forms on the rocks. There we take the opportunity to stop, walk and take wonderful pictures of the Castles, the Amphitheater, the Evil’s Gorge and other beautiful places. After that, we drive to Cafayate, where we visit two typical wineries and try the gorgeous Saltenian wines. A gift to delight your senses! In the afternoon, we return to Salta.Overnight.

Day 12 – Salta / Buenos Aires
At appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport to take the flight back to Buenos Aires, regular service.Upon arrival, you will be taken to the hotel and have the rest of the day on your own to explore the city.Overnight.

Overnight.

Day 14 – Buenos Aires
Day at leisure to explore the cobbled tree lined streets of Palarmo Soho in search of one of a kind Porteño fashion, to sit in café and enjoy perfectly aged glass of malbec, or perhaps to sip yerba out of your newly purchased mate gourd while people watching in one of the parks that make up the Palermo Bosques.
