Day 1: Guatemala City - Antigua (D)
Upon arrival, you will be greeted at the Guatemala City International Airport and transferred through the scenic mountains to Antigua Guatemala - 45-minute drive. As you arrive, you will have the first glimpse of this charming colonial town and you will check-in to your hotel. Welcome Dinner

Day 2: Antigua (B,D)
After breakfast, you will be greeted in your hotel by our tour guide. You will start your day with a full morning walking tour of Antigua which includes a visit to the Colonial District, Main Cathedral, Municipal Hall and Jade Factory. During this tour you will be acquainted with Antigua and you will find plenty of places to
visit. Dinner at the Hotel

Day 3: Antigua (B,D)
Your first stop will be at one of the most impressive colonial museums, Casa
Popenoe, where the famous agricultural scientist Wilson Popenoe lived. You will admire a good collection of Spanish paintings and colonial artifacts which are displayed throughout the corridors and rooms of the house. Your next stop will be at Casa Kojom, the Maya Music Museum, where a video presentation will give you a good idea of the Maya instruments that have survived through time. You will have the afternoon free to explore on your own. Dinner in Town.
Day 4: Antigua – Guatemala City – Tikal (B,D)
This afternoon you will head to Guatemala City for your domestic flight to Tikal.
On the way, you will stop at The National Palace Museum in the main square of the city. After visiting the museum, you will head to the airport. Upon arrival in Flores, our tour guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Tikal.
Dinner at the Hotel.

Day 5: Tikal (B,L,D)
One of the most incredible Maya sites with some of the tallest temples, Tikal will impress you as it is considered the metropolis of the Maya World. After breakfast, our tour guide will meet you in the hotel lobby and will guide you through the Site. You will spend most of the day exploring the jungle canopy and the Mayan temples; lunch will be provided on site. A visit to the Ceramic Museum is also included in your program. Dinner at the Hotel

Day 6: Tikal – Rio Dulce (B,D)
After breakfast, you will depart by land to Rio Dulce, a nice little spot in the Guatemalan Atlantic Coast. After free time to grab a quick bite, you will head out to explore the river shores and the main town, and admire a great view of Lake Izabal. Dinner at the Hotel

Day 7: Rio Dulce (B,L,D)
Your adventure will continue with a visit to the San Felipe Fortress, a Spanish fort built in the sixteenth century to prevent pirate attacks. Then you will head out to Livingston to experience some of the Carib and Garifuna influence. After exploring the area by boat, a nice Garifuna lunch will be served Dinner at the Hotel

Day 8: Rio Dulce – Quirigua – Copan Ruins (B,D)
You will take the western road towards the Maya site of Quirigua, considered to be one of the most important sites with some of the tallest stelae and important altars in the Maya World. After visiting Quirigua, you will leave to the colonial town of Copan. At twilight, our tour guide will take you on a stroll to get acquainted with this charming colonial town and dinner will be served in a typical restaurant. Dinner in Town

Day 9: Copan Archaeological Park (B,D)
Considered to be the main center of Maya investigations, Copan has some of the best carved stelae as well as some of the best preserved Mayan hieroglyphics. A visit will be organized to see the ancient buildings, through
both available underground tunnels, Los Jaguares & Rosalila. A visit to the Sculptural Museum is also included in your program. Farewell Dinner

Day 10: Copan – San Pedro Sula Airport (B)
*Return to Guatemala City or Extension to Roatan. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the San Pedro Sula Airport for your international flight or return to Guatemala City or post-extension trip to Roatan
