José. Accommodation in Best Western Irazú Hotel
Day 2 – OPTION 1 SAN JOSE / POAS / DOKA /SARCHI / SAN
JOSE:
Admire the majestic and awe-inspiring crater of Poás Volcano
at 2,708 m (8,884 ft) above sea level, offering breathtaking
views of the Central Valley and of its huge crater –considered
one of the largest craters in the world. After admiring this
national park, we will visit Doka Estate, starting in the
beautiful coffee plantations and moving to the 96-year-old
coffee processing plant, where you can witness the
fermentation and pulping process of the country’s “golden
bean” and enjoy a typical lunch. Then, we will continue to
the town of Sarchí, home of Costa Rican handcraft and
traditional hand-painted ox carts. Accommodation in Best
Western Irazú Hotel
Transportation, tour guide, lunch, and entrance fee to the
national park included in the tour.
Recommendation: Bring a pair of pants, a light jacket,
comfortable shows, and a camera.
Day 2 – OPTION 2 (Arrival to Costa Rica on Thursday) SAN
JOSE / CARTAGO / OROSI / SAN JOSE:
This tour will give you the opportunity to visit Cartago –old
capital city of Costa Rica, the Basilica of our Lady of the
Angels, and discover the largest volcano in Costa Rica at
11,000 feet above sea level, whose summit shares an uncanny
resemblance to a lunar landscape. On a clear and cloudless
day, we will be able to see both the Pacific Ocean and the
Atlantic Ocean from the top of the volcano. Later, we will
descend to historical and picturesque Orosi Valley, where
you can visit the oldest church in Costa Rica –the colonial
church of Orosi along with its town. Thanks to this
combination of attractions, you will learn about the
colonial and historical tradition of Costa Rica as well as
its luxuriant vegetation. Accommodation in Best Western
Irazú Hotel
Transportation, tour guide, lunch, and entrance fee included
in the tour.
Recommendation: Bring a pair of pants, a light jacket,
comfortable shoes, and a camera.
Day 3 – SAN JOSE / ARENAL:
Visiting the most active volcano is one of the most popular
tours in Costa Rica. You will have the opportunity to relax
in Tabacón Hot Springs. This will be an unforgettable
experience. We will head directly to the volcano in order to
enjoy one of the most famous tourist attractions in the
country, engaged in agriculture and livestock. Later, you
will arrive at La Fortuna, the closest town to the volcano,
where, on a clear day, you will have the opportunity to
admire the majestic colossus. The Arenal Volcano earns
admiration for its explosion of lava and ash –illuminating
the sky at night like fireworks. Just before heading to the
volcano and close enough to feel it rumbling, we will stop
by at the hot springs, where you can take a bath in
rejuvenating and healing waters. At night, we will enjoy
dinner at the foot of the volcano. Accommodation in Arenal
Paraíso Hotel
Transportation, tour guide, lunch, dinner, and entrance fee
to Tabacón Hot Springs included

most likely run into a wide variety of native and migratory
birds, three different species of monkeys, iguanas, sloths,
caimans and turtles.
We will pick up all “Nature Lovers” at the different hotels
for a 1 ½ hour tour to Los Chiles –a small border town
located 4 km from Nicaragua. The, we will take a 2 ½ hour
boat tour through the Tropical Rainforest.
This tour includes a delicious typical Costa Rican lunch
served with local fruits and natural drinks in “Río Frío”
Restaurant for convenience of tourists. Sodas, fruit juices,
water and cookies are also included in the boat tour.

Day 5 – ARENAL / JACÓ:
In the morning, we will transfer to the warm Pacific coast.
Jacó Beach will be waiting for you. Enjoy the different
landscapes as we head down to the sea. Accommodation in Jacó
Beach Hotel
Day 6 – JACÓ / MANUEL ANTONIO / JACÓ:
This National Park is considered one of the most beautiful
parks in Costa Rica. It is a
combination of paradisiacal beaches, crystal clear waters
and coral reefs surrounded by
exuberant vegetation and natural treasures of a tropical
rainforest. Its beaches are among the best in the country,
where scuba diving and surfing are very popular. On our way
to the park, we will take the Southern coastal highway
(Costanera Extension). We will see beautiful beaches and
pass by African palm plantations and picturesque towns along
the Pacific coast until you reach Port of Quepos and from
there, we will head to the National Park. Upon arrival,
we will hike to the park, crossing a creek to access the
park, for this park is closed to vehicles.
Once at the park, you can simply enjoy the beaches, take a
sunbath, or take a walk through the park trails, allowing
you to explore the abundant flora and fauna of the park,
especially several species of monkeys, iguanas, birds, and
perhaps, three-toed sloths. On one of the trails bordering
Punta Catedral (Cathedral Point), you can have spectacular

swamps. This boat tour will guarantee you total comfort and
personal safety for about two hours.
